Davenport's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

28-year old American forward Kyvon Davenport (203-F-1997, agency: BIG) had an amazing evening in the last round for South China and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Xac Broncos (2-4) 86-84. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. South China is placed at 3rd position in Basketball Champions League Asia. South China is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Davenport had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be South China's top player in his first season with the team. University of Memphis graduate has very impressive stats this year. Davenport is in league's top in points (6th best: 20.2ppg), rebounds (9th best: 8.5rpg) and averages solid 1.2bpg,2.5spg and 53.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jordy Tshimanga (211-C-1996, agency: Interperformances) of Xac Broncos Ulaanbaatar. He is Canadian center in his first season at Xac Broncos. In the last game Tshimanga recorded an impressive double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Broncos was edged by slightly higher-ranked South China (2-4) 86-84. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Xac Broncos still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Tshimanga is a newcomer at Xac Broncos and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Will Artino (211-C/F-1992) of league's leader Taoyuan Pilots. Artino scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Pilots, leading his team to a 80-79 win against #4 ranked Xac Broncos. Pilots started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Artino turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Artino has a great season in Basketball Champions League Asia. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.0rpg (2nd best).
